Things took a turn for the better yesterday for me. Not DD epicness, but still had a 5 hours fishing new spots with results.

And it happened quick-like for us. Put in right as the sun was coming up @ Hogback. Shoot, didn't even get on plane when we saw good striper busting up some bait. Dropped the trolling motor right there in that lil cut leading to the launch and immediately starting having our way with some decent fish:

Hey everyone it's your boy Bassfighter here...
Today was another awesome day for bass fishing. The bass were really aggressive today chasing the little trout minnows. The Sacramento River Striper fishing is very good right now , I had a group of guys out 5-2-12, we were fishing in the Colusa area slow trolling Minnows down river, they hooked about 30 Striper with most of them being legal size fish over 18 inches.
The Wild Rainbow Trout fishing is good and will get even better as the river flows are increased, what’re they biting on, Fly’s, Bugs and Plugs.

While these rivers are vastly different in size, length and other features, they all share certain characteristics. Part of understanding why we need to protect our rivers is having an understanding of what a river is and what are the “parts”
