New to the Catfishing in Sacramento

Hello everyone,

I just recently started fishing the sacramento area heavily and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help out a bit.  I am having to shore fish atm as I cant afford to buy a boat till next year and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share a good place for shore fishing of Catfish that I wont loose a ton of gear in snags as I have been.  Catfishing has allways been my favorite thing to do so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks for the help.

The Port of Sacramento is a decent place to fish. Admittedly though, the catfish seem to be on the smallish side.  Rarely any snags though.

Are they good eater size at the port or are the majority too small for that?
