OK, here is the assignment. Pretend all of your lures and terminal tackle has been lost, stolen, abducted by aliens, etc. You still have all your rod and reel combos.

You have a shiny new check for $500 to replace your stuff. It probably isn't enough to replace all the gear you lost so you can only buy the lures that consistently caught the most and biggest fish. What do you buy?

We need to know where you want to fish.  In Clear Lake I'd get baby brush hogs rigged shakey head.

Dang you guys have $500 to spend and all you can think of is senko's and brushawgs......boring. Those are last resort baits on my boat.

Here's what I would do,
5" or 6" bull shad
6" & 8" lunker punkers
7" 4 pc tripple trout
red craw and shad speed trap
a few different rattle traps
drop shotting hooks and weights
reg. worm weights and wide gap hooks in 1/0, 2/0, 3/0
a few bags of R.I. sewwt beavers and double wide beavers.
2 bags of watermellon redflake senkos
few bags of robos in mm,arons magic
L/C pointer
bone spook
a few dt10's
2 packs of big hammers and hammer heads
1 white spinnerbait, 1 chartrues spinnerbait
1 white buzz bait, 1 black buzz bait
1 white frog, 1 black frog

If there's any money left put it in the gas tank and go fishin'!
