On April 19 more than 100 anglers converged on Collins Lake for the Annual CIFFI Collins Lake Derby. Funds generated by this and other CIFFI derbies goes to fund fishery improvements and educational programs all around the state.

Since 1992, the CIFFI (Project Kokanee) has partnered with the DFG to fund the continued planting of kokanee salmon, installation of rearing pens and support the fishing available in selected California lakes.
