Stripers are in the delta. Steelhead are surging into coastal rivers. Most of the state's deer seasons are closed and duck hunters are oiling their scatterguns. All these clues lead to only one conclusion..Christmas is right around the corner!
After a long hot summer dominated by $4 dollar a gallon gas and out of this world electric bills pushed to astronomic levels by running the air conditioner nonstop, I think most folk's wallets are a bit thinner than they would like them to be.
Regardless of your wallet's thickness you are going to buy Christmas presents for friends and family this year and you might even throw in a couple of things for yourself, this much is a given.
