Nice, Maddawg46! But 20 vs 1? That's kinda a extreme. LOL
I went to Whiskey myself today. When I got to Whiskey Slough Marina at 6:45a, their gate was still closed. I called them yesterday and they told me they would open the gate at 6:00a.
I decided to drive to Tiki and fish south from there. It turned out this was not such a great idea for me as I only have electric motor and getting to whiskey took forever! And I only got the half way of the slough. I have to think about something better the next time.
Anyhow, I also only got one, 2 lbs. After reading other reports of 40 fish, I was really disappointed first, but hey it could have been worse. (skunk) And fishing new place was actually fun and the wind felt very nice on my face.

Great report, and typical that the lil woman catches all the fish. I have the same issue. LOL!!
Funny you mention F&G. When we were up on Disappointment Sl. this past weekend, we actually had F&G pull up in a 20ft center counsel with no markings. They asked if we had any lines in the water, which at the time we didnt because I was rigging up the rods to go out later that evening. They were extremely friendly and stayed about 10min to talk about fishing the area. They never asked to see licenses or ID's only asked what we were going to fish for and what bait. They then suggested we get some shad as that had been most productive recently. They explained that they were a "new" unit assigned to the area trying to detour any illegal activities. In 40 years of being on this area of the D, this is the first time seeing F&G on the water and is actually a welcomed site in my opinion.
On the Delta at 6am on Tuesday. Out to Whiskey Slough and then Mildred Island. I caught one small one.....and you guessed it, The Grim Reaper (my wife Connie) caught 20! That's the second time in a week that this has happened. I kept waiting for Fish and Game to show up to make sure we were catching and releasing so as to not dessimate the Bass population.
Then I had to hear about it all the way home. Life can be cruel sometimes. Will try to do better tomorrow.
was pretty windy all day. Water temp was around 74. Other than the wind it was pretty nice day. No picks this time. Her biggest was 2.7 pounds.
