Re: Catch & Keep Not here!

My two cents, I don't catch and keep and I detest rule breakers, but I stay out of other people's business (even when they're wrong) and if I need to act on an injustice, I'll report incidents to the DFG, Sheriff, etc. Not worth getting physical over a few fish. Let the authorities handle it, that's their job. Good job keeping your cool.

Re: Catch & Keep Not here!

    Hi BS,

There is a home owners assoc and we do pay monthly dues to maintain all the common areas. We have a small army of lanscapers to trim trees, mow the lawn in our parks and along the sidewalks around the lake. We have a large clubhouse with pools, showers restrooms and a tennis court. The fish however take care of themselves except for the three large fountains that helps keep the oxygen level up. There is no feeding program and the bass eat crayfish, bluegills, shad and baby bass. There is a little ramp for those like me who do not have a water front home but have a little boat to enjoy the water.

I can't wait to file my complaint on those people. Gonna make sure Shenanigans daughter has a big smile on her face, all day long.

I want to be able share this place with friends and have one heck of a great fishing day. No one has the right to take that from those of us who respect and love this resource. Having this place has allowed me to meet new friends, learn something about bass fishing and just plain have ball here.

I'll be talking to one of the board members today who loves the fishing here as much as I do. I'll be filing a very stern complaint about this and hope it comes to a halt.

It took alot of years to control the anger when seeing this type of conduct. Good thing I'm not twenty years old anymore. Let the proper authority take care of the matter and go home safe and sound is my motto. Kick'em where it hurts, in the pocket book!

Question for ya, do you have to pay some kind of association fee to live there to help sustain the pond? I know if you live on a golf course you have to pay an association fee to help maintain the course, but that still doesn't entitle the residents to a free round! I sure hope you don't have to pay to launch. 8-)

i hear ya!! video tape them and send it to the game warden. then they will stop by everynow and then.

i got a problem at a local lake i like to fish, there are a couple of guys who keep tying lines to docks with power bait and worms. they are leaving them there over night on a public dock!! very illegal here. so i took pics of them doing this, then when they left i took pics of what they did. i cut all the lines disposed of the trash and sent picks to the game warden, they should be getting a ticket soon as they do this everyday.

I think we could all use seefishrun's situation and the way he handled it as example of proper behavior when faced with an altercation. If you keep your cool (and keep your wife cool for the married folk ), then situations usually don't escalate into something more than they need to be. This way you don't have to worry about being hassled by "The Man", and you keep your name clean. If only more people would act like you in the face of conflict seefishrun! You are one of the nice guys! 8-)

Hi civicrr, got to get troll_shottin on the lake. Talked to him the other day and he didn't know he had fish just a minute away. Too funny. Got to get him out there one of these days. I can kick a can and hit his house from mine. ;D Sniffers can be closer than you realize.
