Nothing on the A-Rig. Bought it at Sportsman Expo and tried it out. Thebway I had it set up would be perfect for Berryessa. Way too heavy for delta though. Next delta trip I'm gonna try some 1/8 and 1/4oz baits to keep above th grass easier. What a mess when it loads up with that mossy crap in the delta now. Pulling it off 3 hooks and clearing the blades was not fun. Lucky the crappie cooperated with meband I didn have to toss that thing all day.

threw mine a bit yesterday on the delta. rigged with 3 huddleston shad baits, and 2 willow leaf blades. looks great tacking through water. tossed it on a 7'9 custom Grapite USA light saltwater stick, and curado 300 with 65 PP. too bad they went out of business or i'd grab a few more of those blanks

They are getting down to 12 bux all over lake county. But no one has to throw them. If I catch 3 or 50, they all go back in the water.

You've got that right Wes! After I dropped my son off a pre-school, I stop at the Outdoorsman here in town. $24.99 for the basic wires???????????? WTF!!!!!!!!! Unreal! They had a off brand right next to it for $14.99. Heck a guy would be into it $30-40, and if you tied your knot wrong and lost the whole rig, someone would be pissed.

Being I don't catch anything I don't need to invest in those toys

I stick to hollow bellies. They have good action and compress when a fish strikes so more of the bend in the hook is exposed. You can easily rig them with a standard 4/0 or 5/0 lead head.

I figured that this rig will result is a buch of missed hookups because of the drag of all that gear in the water.

One of the things I am interested to try is to use three different styles of swimbaits on the rig at one time. I want to know if one shape or size draws more strikes. I know its not a perfect test, but its a real world trial in consistent conditions.

Re: I guess I'm gonna have to take the plunge

Fisherman's Warehouse has one for $15 and that is what i've been throwing. I rigged it with two spinnerbait blades at the top and three Berkley 3" swimbaits on the lower arms. It's not weedless at all. It catches weeds and sticks into wood.
I did catch a 2+ lber on the Tuolumne River on it yesterday. The bass slammed it and I set the hook fairly hard. I kept tension on the bass until I got it in the boat and come to find out the point of the hook was barely sticking into the bass (and I was using braid). Any slack and that fish would have been gone. Getting a good hookset might be difficult on this rig because all the lures and metal slows the hookset speed way down. I think fish mainly hook themselves since the hooks are exposed. If you toss weedless type swimbaits on it you might have a difficult time landing any fish.

Is there a particular swimbait guys are throwing on this rig? I am not happy with the Berkley solid body baits because they don't have much action.

Both. For structure, I would rig it with hollow bellies and weighted swimbait hooks so its weedless. I also think i will use three baits and two willow blades rather than dummy baits.

I would really like to hear and read what you think of this rig Wes after fishing with it.

RnF and I were just talking about it yesterday.
We saw it at the ISE and have seen some of the buzz about it.

Would you be willing to throw this into structure or just open water?
