Most fear the Blackies as they like to eat fresh kill. The Grizz will generally kill something and then come back later for lunch. If it's a sow with cubs all bets are off.

How do you tell if the bear chasing you is a black bear or grizzly? If you run up a tree and it follows you up, it's a black bear. If it knocks the tree over, it's a grizzly.
