You had to admire the Niners back in the day but now they are one of the biggest jokes in the league. *DD is correct, when you build a team you begin with the lines which are the foundation of the team. *The niners decide to get a star QB which proves they don't have a clue. *Who is going to protect him, who's he going to throw to? *Keven Barlow should get about 1500 yards this year that should help...NOT! *If you look at all the divisions and their strengths and weaknesses there is no clearer bottom feeder than the niners, except for maybe the niners east-the Cleveland Browns. *Seattle, St. louis and the Cards are far better teams and it is a foregone conclusion that the niners will finish dead last again! ;D

PS I will admit it is more fun to have a geographical rivalry when both teams are doing well.

Yeah,
The good ole days, too bad good times have to end. But my loyalty will never end, always will be a Niner fan. Unfortunately DD, I think you are right. Even tho it feels like we have hit rock bottom, I also think the worse is yet to come. Mr. Dork, ahem, Mr. York HAS to go. The problem is, who takes over the reins? I would love to see Eddie D back or even Bill Walsh, but I don't think either of those two are ever coming back for their own reasons :-/.

W2F..At one time the 49ers were the best team in all the NFL, there front office was second to none, if they still had a good front office T.O. would have never left and they would not be in the situation they are in now,Mr. York is not a football man the decisions he makes have cost the team dearly, and I think the worst is yet to come.

At one time you had Eddie D. Carmen Policey, Dwight Clark, Bill Walsh, just to name a few, those people made that team into what it was, and you 49er fans can't deny that.

I agree with DD. The Niners have been wastin first round picks since Bill Walsh and Eddie D left. They need to improve the O line and the D line no doubt. Letting T.O. go was good riddance and the only good move they have done lately.

Remember it is only preseason boys and girls,personally I think the 49ers wasted a first round draft pic, They should have went and drafted BEEF for the offense and Defensive lines, and picked up a free agent QB, it will be *tough in the NFC west, Seahawks,Rams,Cardinals all look good, sorry to say it, you guys will have a long season.

And i think there still jealous and feeling low when the Niners beat the Raiders :-/

from the looks of things it doesnt look like the Raiders are going anywhere fast either...I just hope that Tim Rattay is worth his salt and makes an effort to lead the niners.

Plus, football is getting more and more boring as I fish more and more. The bay area is dead. As far as Im concerned, it can stay that way.
