Good info to know. Thanks! Everyone I've talked to says the cats in there are a mixture of blues and channels. Not sure if they can cross breed, but some of those dark ones look very different than any other cat I've seen. Cool fish to say the least.

Winds are gusting around 20 so I'm stuck behind cover about 800 yards from where I want to be
Hopefully it lays down and I can get into position over my pile

Good info, Jack! I usually C&R cats, but I guess keeping one for the camp dinner would be OK there.

    Best,

"Women who are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant, nursing mothers and children under the age of 17 are advised not to eat any fish from Clear Lake. Men and women who are past the childbearing age are advised to eat no more than four meals a month. A meal is considered to be six ounces of fish."

I'm sure specific people always eat what they catch, and I definitely do my share, but I've heard that fish other than gills from CL are loaded with actual mercury. Not the sac valley "there may be mercury in your striper fillets" deal, but real mercury due to the fact that the lake is near an old volcano. Is this is just a myth?
