Re: Lake Del Valle HELP
That's was very helpful. I'm going to try the narrows. Sounds like a plan with some frozen chovys. Drop a rodl at night for the cats. Thanks RainbowK. I'll let you know how I did.

Re: Lake Del Valle HELP
Well I can say the fish are always biting at DV. It depends on where on the lake you will be and If you will have a boat or not. If you have a boat hit the damn. With out a boat I would fish the narrows for trout and striper. Fish the south end for the catfish. With the catfish you will want to use anchovies. I would set up for the cats at night, if you can, leave a pole out overnight for them. For the trout I would use powerbait. white, chartreuse, or Fy-yellow seem to work well for me. It will be a waiting game for the trout this time of year. without a plant in the last month and a half your more hoping for a school to swim through. I dont have time to go into too much detail DV is pretty complicated, you gotta let the fish tell you what they want. I honestly can explain it any better than that. I can tell you that where ever the trout are the striper are ALWAYS there too.
