Never been to Vasona, but Campbell perc ponds has tons of carp.

Only been carp fishing a couple times, but I have always used a sliding sinker rig with 2-3oz weight and a 18" leader. I know some people use lighter weight but I like to use the heavier weight to have the carp hook themselves when they run off with the bait.

I'm going to be in campbell next week, I know of vasona reservoir and the campbell perc ponds. Which do you recommend? I am looking for carp and maybe some panfish. I see there are lots of bodies of water just below and the north of the perc ponds, are these private?

And while we're on the topic... I'm planning on using corn and bread for carp. Is it OK if I just use a weight to sink the bait the the bottom, that is where carp usually forage I figure. Thanks!
