    The heat actually isnt great for the catfish. Unless your able to find a cool hole of water they might be hanging in. Wait til the sun goes down and i reccomend crawdads for your bait. The cats tear em up at night.

    thanks for the reply,im gunna try the port of stockton tonight,whats a bait to catch alot of cats,im tired of using chicken liver.

    The warmer weather tends to turn the catfish bite on in the lakes this time of year. For example, I know the kitty reports out of Collins and Rollins have picked up recently. As far as the rivers I know I catch more in the summer, although that could be a result of the bite for everything else slowing down in the heat

    is catfishing any good when its hot like the weather we are having right now in northern california
