I went yesterday and nailed a few blue gills & crappie. Was only there biggest being about 5 inches. Went today again after work and got 12 in a matter of like 1.5 hours with bites the while time. I lost a lot to the weeds or grass looking things that grow in the water. But that's where it appeared they were hiding. Used red worms size 8 hooks had a bobber on one rod & Carolina rig on the other. Sized varied from 2 inches to 6 inches. Action was hot and better than just going home. Middle bridge. Everyone else out there were nailing them as well

Got out to Lisbon at around 5 pm, the temperature was about 100 but we were sitting in the shade so it was no problem. We had nightcrawlers on two different set-ups. I set up my buddy Luis with a weighted bobber and a 1 ft leader. I had a slip bobber rig, both of us were using night crawlers as bait.

We hit spot number one and I had a single bite. After an hour and a half of nothing we decided to move on and hit another spot. We found a place that was nice and grassy and so we hit that area. Sure enough I had a few take downs on my first few casts. First fish of the day was a tiny 5 inch bass. Cute. Second fish was a small bluegill, a bit bigger than the bass.

After a while I hooked into my first nice size crappie of the day, my buddy Luis caught the next. After a while we realized we were down to only two worms so I started cutting them in half. I gave my buddy half a worm and decided to use a lipless crank instead. As I was tying that on, I hear him cast and a few seconds later I hear, “oh, man!” and line peeling. I look over and his pole is bent and something is peeling line like crazy. Now, This would be a good time to mention that I am currently teaching my buddy how to fish and he has never caught anything bigger than the bass he caught last week.

Well, the lucky sucker reeled the fish in, and I netted it up for him. His first two pound bass, which put up a nice fight for being only two pounds! Nice size fish for only a half a night crawler; quite a surprise! We ran out of bait at around 8:30.

We ended up with five crappies that day so we decided to have a good ol fish fry!

I beer battered those suckers and a catfish that I had in the freezer. Couples with some Stella Artois and we had ourselves a hell of a meal on Sunday afternoon!<a href="http://www.fishsniffer.com/forums/attachments/panfish-board/14898d1370880571-lisbon-slough-6-7-13-988656_10151430776945706_1534189840_n.jpg" title="Name: 988656_10151430776945706_1534189840_n.jpg

Any sniffers wanna meet up and do a little shore crappie fishing? If you know the spot I got the bait and lets roll! I figure why try to ask around when most crappie anglers are not gonna give up the spot so I mind as well chip in lol. I got a spot at del valle but no float tube anymore and a boat will scare em off. So delta is cool or any bay area lake we can keep em out of. If you wanna pm I spot that'll work too just missin catching them. Crappie are by far my favorite thing to catch
