It shows a fuse needs to be inline but says nothing about the fuse. Can I just connect it to one of the fuses under the dash? Does it need it's own? Does it have to be connected directly to the battery as the directions show?j Any and all help would be appreciated!

I was worried the whole follow the contour feature would never reach us. Not sure if this is old news, but it got me excited. Going to hold off on buying a map chip until this one comes out.

How important is it to be perfect and what's the best way to get it there?

I have a 12 foot boat. I'm working with it on my trailer in my garage. Adding a little mounting deck to the front of the boat and the angle of the original smaller plate and the sides the board would lay on are opposites. Original plate slants as bit forward, as it sits in the garage. The small mounting deck I'm putting in, slants a bit back, as it sits on the rails of the boat. Problem is, I'm not sure if I should slant my deck to be the same as the original plate, because the back will be lower with the motor while in the water, if I should stick with the angle of the deck, because once the battery is moved up from and the trolling motor is on, with me sitting in the middle of the boat, the front of the boat will sit lower in the water, or if I should have both of their angles raised to meet in the middle where it's level as it sits in the garage on the trailer?

Thoughts? Should I take the boat in the water as is and put a bunch of stuff in the front to equal the battery and trolling motor's weight, then check the original plate with the level?

How important is it that it's perfect?

thanks!
