Re: Where exactly is the "firing Line"?

I don't know the coordinates of the Montezuma firing line, but the one mentioned in this thread in Honker Bay is 38 degrees 4.22N 121 degrees 56.10W. I have not fished Honker Bay this year, but have had easy limits in Grizzly Bay in 12 ft. of water using bullhead, so I would think that Honker Bay is producing too. Good luck.

I'm confuse on the given direction. Therefore, I wanted to ask the gps coordinate if anyone have it.

I'm not looking for info on anybody's Honey Hole, just some clarification

    Thanks!

Launch out of McAvoys in Bay Point. *Head north up the slough *towards the river/bay. *When you reach the river *look across the river/bay to the northwest. *You will see a red & green buoy fairly close together-marking a very narrow portion of the shipping channel. *Cross the channel at the bouys & keep heading on that same course till the water starts to shallow up -- now you're on the Firing Line. *Pick any depth that you like, usuall between 12 - 25 feet. You can also move east or west, paralell to the channel. Anchor up & toss out your bait. *Don't anchor in the channel & don't attempt to cross the channel if it's foggy!

Sorry Andrew but I would need a map in front of me to be specific and I am at the office and don't have one handy. I am sure some one on the board will give you specifics as that area is frequented by a lot of fishermen and hunters.

Where abouts in Montezuma Slough? That's a lot of water. What about the firing line out near middle ground?
