Contact DFG. They have a Fishing for Kids program and will gladly accept old fishing gear for use by the kids.

Gear Donations
Are there any organizations where we can donate old Tackle boxes and rod/reels? I would much rather see them go to a kid who can't afford it but wants to fish than get sold at a goodwill store. I have at least 3 big tackle boxes that I no longer have any use for. Any help advice would be great.
