Re: Gear Donations
Well it looks like the gear has a home if 49er still has it,he hasn't been on in the last 5 days.. I believe he is moving to the sac area so he may be busy!!!
Roger,I would send him a PM an let him know you will take it.
Also if your Church is still in need of stuff for your "set the hook"program you should put a post up an let our members know how to donate fishing gear for the Kids.I will sticky it an see how it goes.....Don

Re: Gear Donations
I'll vouch for Roger. Its a great outreach that he is doing for our local youth who might not get to go fishing without it.
I'm proud to wear my Set the hook shirt.

I donated a rod and reel to the Fishing In The City Program earlier this year. It took some calls to get a hold of the director and they really aren't geared for donations. They have a set amount of rods and gear for the program. They took the rod and reel, which was a spinning rod, to use for demonstrations. As for the Boy Scouts, you have to almost find a scout master or a troop that would use the gear. If you were to donate to The Golden Empire Council itself, to odds are the gear would probably sit somewhere and not be used.

Re: Gear Donations
49er let me know if you hear back or not. I live about 10min from the office at the hatchery and can cruise by next week to get some info if need be. Will give me an excuse to get out of the house. lol

See p. 53 (it's a long brochure)
SF is running a kids' fishing summer camp that might take donations. Unfortunately my son is too young, but that looks pretty fun.
