Most Motherlode lakes are legal, with the exception of Camanche. No bowfishing on Modesto Reservoir, and most East Bay Lakes. Takers a lot of phone calls and talking with the gate rangers.

Ive worked hard to keep this sport legal, so if you want to do this on your own. PLEASE DISPOSE OF YOUR FISH PROPERLY!!

I have a few vineyards I donate them to for fertilizer, and I use them in my own garden.

Ive been approached and questioned by DFG a 2 am on a lake because they thought I was the one who has been dumping fish on boat ramps and throwing them on the bank. That is not the way to do it and will get this sport taken away.

I don't blame you for the rant, we need to protect everything we have left. There are several lakes on the Central Coast that are full of Carp. I have a couple Martin bows I haven't shot in a few years that I think I need to dust off & give it a try. I guess it's time to start making some phone calls.
