It seems lately that all of my friends who say they can go anytime -- can't. One excuse after another. Nothing is worse than getting ready to go and then having someone bail on you. I hope there are others here who understand this and I can increase my chances of getting out on the water more.

About me - I don't have a fishing boat, I have a 22 ft open bow which is a nice boat. (The wife made me get a "family" boat. She's gone but I still have the boat!) It's not perfect for fishing and I'm kinda anal about keeping it clean but it can be done. I have gps and a fishfinder. I'll brave just about any water in the bay.

I am a military veteran, love talking NFL, *****ing about Kalifornia politics, complaining about my divorce, and I can shoot the sh t about almost anything. I think having a beer while you fish is just about required. When my teenaged son is staying with me he loves to come along. I don't care if you smoke but if you burn a hole in my seat please be prepared to pay the upholstery guy.

What I'm looking for is to widen the availablity of people who can come out and contribute to a day of fishing. I live in the northbay so I often launch out of Black Point, cause its reasonably close and familiar. I have launched from Vallejo and Petaluma also. I have caught Sturgeon, Stripers, Sharks, and Rays this year from my boat. Tried to catch a stripper once but that's a different story. I'd rather bass fish but mounting a trolling motor isn't an option. If you think you'd want to go sometime shoot me a PM or respond and I will let you know when I can get out again. Weekends and Mondays are best for me but I do have the flexibility to go other days. If you have a spot and need someone to go in your boat I'd also be happy to go along. Believe me I understand the cost of owning and operating a boat and also understand whats involved with taking a boat fishing for the day. My next plans (hopes) to get out will be the weekend starting 5/22.
