The kokes have not all gone south...try Carson Cove and back at Glory Point. Gloryhole sports has good maps if you are not familiar with the lake.

I have been fishing Pardee and catching limits of Koke and trout mixed. The trout are running between 2 and 3 pounds so that helps off set the Kokes that are running 9 to 11 inches. Good side is no water skiers or jet skis to deal with just other fisherman who all seem very courteous. Good place to learn since there are plenty of fish. Even caught a trout at 60 feet last weekend on the pink RGT.

I would guess the weather had something to do it.

    fishermanbob,

Sorry Melones was slow for you today. We fished the derby on Sat and did well in the deeper water off of Carson Cove and under the 49 bridge @ 54 to 65 ft deep on RGTs in pink and natural.

I also understand folks did well in front of the Tuttletown ramp in 80 to 100 ft water @ 60 ft. deep. Some also did well Sounth in Bear Cove but there be careful of the humps as they will eat your downrigger ball.

Good luck and let us know how you do.

malones kokanee where did they go?

Went out on Wed the 18th to rose island about 10:00ish and no fish and know boats. This was my first time to this lake and every thing I have read on this board said this was the spot to go. Have the fish moved? I think I recall hearing some one saying that the fish move to the south end of lake at a certain time of the year, has this happened? or did I get to the lake to late in the day? thinking about going again tomorrow but would like some help with were on the lake to go.
