I have purchased a Vance's Spiral rod and a Tica Caiman KT 150 and a nice start on the lures, dodgers, hooks, hootchie skirts, jigs etc....This time of year is always the hardest, waiting for spring....I am planning to get out there before March so I can get my routine down with the lanch ramp, lake locations and downrigger techniques. I apologize for the rambling on but I am excited like a little kid....Don

What about an engine mount trolling motor?
My friend has the 24volt one and it works sweet.

Trolling speed can truly vary with the kokanee fishing. When using squid baits we troll from 0.6-1.4 mph, but some baits like the faster speeds closer to 2 mph, such as Hum Dingers pulled behind sling blade dodgers. You can always try to hook up with some of us that spend the summers obsessed with chasing the Kokes! I can't wait for spring time to get here again.
