    Robbie and Nate
I have some tricks up my sleeve that worked at Whiskeytown a couple of weeks ago that I am eager to try at Berry. I'll talk to you guys on the radio Saturday. My boat is Trol-n-IV-Kok.

    Robbie,
Is dyed corn working or just white? I will be out at Berry 1st time this year Saturday. I go with Orange and pink dyed corn in the other waters.

We went out today and were the first out east shore east of the big island! Took a little while I get everything dialed in and had one koke and one trout that didn't release! Then we had a Real lame driver cut me off and then cut right behind me as my uncle has a 3.5 lb trout flying out of the water. Ended up with 4 trout and 1 koke then we shoul have had easy limits of DARRLYS back at the launch ramp! 45 min to get the boat out.

I never start out using ball flashers. It's always something I'll fall back to if the kokes have a case of lockjaw. I've not had much luck with them at Berryessa for kokes but at UVR it's a must have late in the season. Fish them like most, attached to weight and a stacker clip 2-3 ft. above the weight. I like a short set back, 10 ft. being the most but as short as turning my dodger into the last blade on the flashers.

Rockezra, I like to use ball flashers when ever I can. I don't use them much in the early part of the season when the fish are in the top of water column. After the fish move down to 30' or deeper I use ball flashers clipped directly to the ball, then a stacker clip and release about three feet above the ball. I usually set back about 5-15' depending on how the fish want it. There are a lot of different opinions about the use of ball flashers for Kokanee. I have tried it both ways, and I believe it works.....Give it a try for yourself and goodluck!!
