Every job is a self portrait of the person who does it. Autograph your work with excellence.
If you in San Jose and are willing to drive a little further south, then I'd try Uvas Res. I used to fish there a lot when I was living in San Jose. Tons of spotted panfish in the summer. I used a red/white jig with a floater about 18-24" above the jig. Non-stop action in the morning until about noon. I'd keep the big ones and fry them up at home.
glad you had fun with the youngin'. Cunningham has excellent catfishing also. I usually catch 10-20 cats a day there. You just have to move around a bit. Shinn pond has a ton of bluegill pretty small guys there too. Bethany's bluegill bite is on you just have to know where. I can put you on them in a kid friendly spot if you ever wanna do it again. I will warn you now ever so often a big cat or striper will hit the red worms or pieces of worm lol. I have caught a 8lb striped bass on half a night crawler there. Rare, but it does happen.
Thanks. poison ivy I don't think be to good with a kid with me. I found a lake in San Jose/ Lake Cunningham with a bunch of Bluegills. Very small but it was constant and 7 year old nephew had a blast with his spiderman fishing pole. He loved releasing them after the catch watching them swim away. Favorite word was FREEDOM lol. It was fun. Lake Cunningham great for the others fishermen who like to fish for other species too. They got large mouth bass and just planted catfish. The blue gill are great for kids to catch and release.
No problem with your secret spots.
nope lol. I usually travel between 45 minutes to 1hr to get to prime bluegill fishing. Its worth the drive. You might be able to guess where in some of my posts but there is NO way im confessing with out money lol
JK lake bethany has good sized bluegill in there and another spot by stanford University but that is a little tricky because all the good spots have tons of poison oak and you need to be light on your feet to pull that one off
I'm new to bluegill fishing and wanted to ask is there any where I can go in the east bay that I can get some bluegill. I'm located in Fremont so any spots 10-15 minutes away
