Yeah, I been looking and cant find too much on it.
I'll try and get to the libary and look it up in the books. I've got a few oldies. fun to collect.

Tell ya what. I`ll give it to you if you can guess the amount of line still on the reel. LOL. I`m not looking to sell this reel,I`m just trying to find an approx age. The reel that`s on ebay gives no info on the year it was made.

Yeah, they made thousands of them... worth about 3 bucks.. I'll give you $5 so you can get rid of that junk and just because I like you.

Sorry I have been trying to post a picture of this reel. It`s a South Bend SpinCast #700 modle B. I have never seen a reel like this,It works great the big hole is for thumbing the spool and the line comes out the side then gos up the rod. to go into free spool you turn the handle backwards about 1/2 turn. Has anyone got any idea of the age of this reel?
