What rod to get

Can't hardly go wrong with a 10-12' UglyStick . If your used to spinning reels , a few come to mind ; Shimano Baitrunner , Dawai BG 90 or one on the Peens , either a760 Slammer , 850ss or the bit bigger 950ss . The combo should cost around $200 if you shop online for the reel .

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a good heavy duty pole for piers, jetty's, or the surf. I will mostly be catching whatever out there so i need a nice sturdy rods, i also like to catch sharks so maybe a good rod for sharks. I also need recommendations for a reel to match this type of rod or normally use spinning reels but if trolling reels work better than that would be good.
