Not legal. Cannot be within 250ft of face of dam. Serious business - like homeland security taking you away for a body cavity search serious. If you are in a float tube 250ft downstream from the dam you're not gonna be able to hold - you're going for a float downstream in a hurry.

I wouldn't want to fish at the wall on a float unless you want to get hit with ounce weights by angry people at the bank.
Secondly, I think during salmon season, you can't fish on a floating device passed the cable. Not sure if its the same for steelhead.
Also, on the south side, I believe there is a sign that you have to be 250 ft - xxx ft away from the dam. I think I seen that sign in 2006 when I parked at the aquatic center.

Anyone ever think about Float tubing the basin. Mainly around the very deep parts near the wall and maybe near the north bank if possible.
