08/14/2013 - Caught another one jigging and lost one. Could have had a limit.
When fishing at the outlet, I've seen people use kwikfish, roe, and flying Cs. I've seen a lot of success over the years with people drifting roe in the "whirlpool" where the outlet flows to. I don't take my boat up that high since I lack a jet. Whenever I go up there, I'm banking and drifting beads.
Thinking about making my way to the Feather this weekend, never really fished it before so i'm looking for some advice. Where to fish Shanghai...somewhere by the outlet...what techniques...flying Cs...drift roe? Thanks in advance.

Drinkinbuddy, it's the section of Feather River between Yuba City and Olivehurst right above the fall. Or you can just google map Shanghai bend road in Yuba City.
Great picture, had my curiosity though as to what part of the river is shanghai bend? Never heard of it.
That pic just looks perfect! nice water and great fish at the end of your trip.
Looks like maybe a rare adipose clipped fish too?
Best, and keep up the good work and reports!
There you go! Congrats on a nice fish and early start to let's hope a great season for all !!!
