Where will you be fishing the row? Good luck!

Fished Verona today 21st. Got there at dark 30 and fished til 11:00. No takers/ However the boys lined up below the ramp landed 4 that I saw and a couple more down below them. Their there. Just have to put in your time I guess. I prob won't go back and just stick to the AR, it's in my back yard.

Keep trying, it took me 6 trips to finally get one. It was worth the wait for the cleanest salmon I have ever caught in the river.

I was out there with you Guy I actually got a hook up with a k14 with sardine but lost it within 3 sec, It was tough seeing about 20 to 25 boats out and not one had caught a fish.. oh well we still have time.... Fish and game was out for a little weaving in and out of the boats... The also went up river a ways and said there wasn't much luck up there either...

I see boaters boondoggling roe on the Sac as well. Especially the deeper pools along the bank with lots of shades where the fish may stick onto.

    Sac R, Verona Salmon August 17, 2012

Skunked, 5 out of 6 outings! Bill Crooks joined me for the day trying, again, for Sac R King Salmon. We launched at Verona and fished downriver on anchor. We used chartreuse lipped K-15s with and without sardine wraps and Silvertron spinners, with & without Bloody Tuna gel on a 48” 25# leader and 3 oz of weight on a 18” 8# dropper. 42-71’ back in 14’ of water. 13-18 other boats. We anchored next to Doug from Roseville. We saw four salmon landed (a 18# by Doug) and two LDRs. 5 hours (6-11), 0.5 miles, one anchor location. Water 66.8*, debris in the water, rigs needed clearing every 15”. Air 66-86*. Sky clear to high overcast. Wind 0 mph. Sunrise 6:23, % moon visible 0%. Thanks for the company Bill. Maybe we’ll get some hits, hook-up, salmon next time.
