Yeah, I suspect the bay will be a mess with all those boaters. Depending on where you choose to launch from,Cal city MIGHT be one of the quieter spots. In really close along the shoreline frequently has no wind, since the Tiburon peninsula blocks the wind coming in thru the Golden Gate, so many of the sailors will avoid this area. If you were to launch from Loch Lomond or elsewhere in San Pablo bay or upper SF bay, you might have a relatively easy time of it???? Given the choice, I'd reschedule, but if this is the only day you've got open, Cal City might be less of a pain in the arse than other options......Bob

With Americas Cup going on and finals on Sunday, you may want to give it some hard thought before heading out. Boat traffic will be like a zoo out there, even over at Cal City. Good luck if you do head out.

If you want to fish the bay for salmon, the spot is an area called California city, along the Marin county shoreline. It's a trolling, not mooching spot, and it's typically most productive at top of the tide,i.e, last 2 hours incoming and first 2 hours outgoing

So I went to the store - wanted to try something I have never done. Got some procure brine and some sardines. I am going to brine them and see what they do. It looks messy though. Seems like the bite may be somewhat hard for salmon though so we may just hit the cods.

Thinking of fishing SF Bay on Sunday for Salmon. Has anyone had any reports or have any advice about fishing out there? We have done well for lings and rocks but havent tried salmon fishing out there before. Should we be thinking of mooching or trolling?
