I fished Lake Natoma for many years. It fishes like a tidal river. Best times are when the water level is lowering and rising. Especially from the bank.

Lately I have been fishing folsom instead. If I do fish natoms, I stop at willow creek area.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse....but I have fished Lake Natoma extensively over the years.

Yes, you can catch bass there....I'm just saying there are much MUCH better places to go to catch bass. Natoma is not only erratic and somewhat unpredictable, it also has a pretty difficult shoreline in many places for bank fishing. If you want to fish it for whatever reasons...do so...just don't expect too much.

Folsom dam is still blowing 15,000 CFS through Natoma last I checked. That makes much of it more like a river than a lake.

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to try the lake natomas spot for some lmb. I will have to try out that side of Folsom soon. I fish around Doton's Point and beeks Bight most of the time and I have had decent luck, but no great days yet.
