You should be fine. Lafayette stays pretty clear. Unlike San Pablo and Amador. Better off if you rent a boat and fish the back half of the lake. You will see where all the other boats are. lol. They have pumps you can use if you need to get some rainwater out of the rentals. We bought one off of Amazon really cheap. Nice to already have it in the back of the truck. Good luck!

On the water 7am. It was clear at first and then a thick fog rolled in. The sun only popped out a couple of times today. Not much of a wind for our drift. But we did manage to pick up two 17" trout today. Both on Clear gold/chartreuse power eggs with Pro-Cure Rainbow trout super gel.
Plenty of other boaters out on the lake. Saw a few of them catching but it wasn't red hot for anyone.Called it a day around noon.

We might give lake Chabot a try next weekend since our boat is still in the shop for a service. Tomorrow is back to work after a nice Christmas break. I guess all this time off can't last forever. lol.
    Have a great week everyone!
