Re: Looking for private bass pond Sacramento area

There is Lake Blodgett....just across Grant Line Road from the dump. I think they charge $120 a year for a membership...

I can't say I really recommend it though. No doubt there are bass in there....but it is tricky to fish. It is one of those ponds where the entire shoreline is weed bed for 20-40 feet out. So everything you throw has to be completely weedless, and any sizeable fish you hook will be difficult to bring in through the weeds, unless you are using 60# test or thereabouts.

If you plan to fish from a kayak or small boat...might be a different story...you can get out past the weeds.

But trying to shore fish it was basically a PITA.

Looking for private bass pond Sacramento area

A few buddies and I are Looking for a private bass pond with Largemouth bass to fish my hand made lure around the Sacramento area. I don't have a lot of time to go around at the larger public lakes nor do I have a boat so I'm looking for something nearby. Anyone know some places, I'd appreciate recommendations or referrals
