Pencil popper in rainbow trout pattern at fist light.
A veteran - Whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to the "United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is an Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

Top water baits and glide baits are different. I guess both can glide but one is floating on top of the water and the other is subsurface.
Since you mentioned the S-waver and swimbaits, I'm assuming you're looking for a glide bait. For the banks, I'd recommend a savage gear glide swimmer or the shine glide. Both tried and true. If you go with a deps or so you're gonna hate life if you get it snagged up somewhere.
    good luck
