    Re: The Title

imho, anyone that served honorably in any service, regardless of how
long their service was deserves respect. my brother was in the Army in
Germany, I think he served 3 years. I did my 20 in the Navy, 4 years as
a cook, 1 year at NAS Alameda and 3 at Hunters Point as cook on YTM
tugboat. reenlisted for communications technician, retired in 81, and
worked for private company in secure communications till 2k when I
retired for good. military life is not good for everyone for different reasons,
but I still think everyone without physical/mental problems should have to
serve a tour of duty in one of the services.
    be safe

It really taught me a bunch and I did take some courses while I was there that did help me. I was drafted just after I completed two years of college and I finished after that with the GI bill, also bought a condominium with that bill. I went through college with my own money and working while I did. I guess the new folks think they are "OWED" something in life, guess what it is all death and taxes to the end, nothing else. I guess it is which path you choose worker, business owner/worker, or obedient slave to the government...……..Jetspray

Personal complaint: I think Hillary Roddam Clinton should rot in HE double hockey sticks for what she did in Bengazi Lybia. Trump stated that he was against the impeachment of her husband, I don't understand democrat policy, I guess I need to see what is in the Koolaid……..Jetspray

God bless you for your service, Taiki.

You are correct that those who have not earned the title, cannot truly understand what membership in that select group encompasses, but you have many, many admirers who respect your service beyond words. My daughter (second of four) served 4 years as a corporal in the USMC stationed mostly in Kaneohe Bay. She earned several marksmanship badges and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal. She was honorably discharged on 80% disability but has not let the years of medial procedures and chronic pain slow her down. She completed her BS in psychology and is currently working on her MBA. She is a tenacious, dyed-in-the-wool Patriot who preaches often of her USMC heritage and her love of this country. She loves the Devil Dogs and would certainly agree with your declaration. Thank you for your post.
