Hey I recognize Strikefighter howdy! and I just joined this club to see nary a salmon ocean report but we can change that!

I started out at HMB Marine wherhouse in the eighties buying bait and getting the loran #s for the days hot bite and seeing Bob Franco face to smiling face....I miss the eighties!

Going out Saturday will be on #19 and will postour results here.
I read fishsniffer magazines looong before any online fish clubs existed and its a great bunch!

Ive been to all the salmon rallies and salmon I live for! not just for food but to save them for the future its the only thing from the water i fish for or eat well sardines sometimes in a pinch..
I had 2 Whaler Montauks and sold last one in 2010 thinking we would be closed this year but here they are!
One time in 07 was it..or 06 they were in the mud all year and I noticed Wacky Jackie over at this same spot so we tried for an hour or so and we pulled in 3 over 20lbs right there! a great spot. Maybe we were a little deeper - I think it was 70 ft depth .
Gotta love the birds they lead us to dinner soo many times if we watch em. I bet you didn't mean pelicans? they sure are rare these days

We went and got skunked trolling WMA, bait with FBR and rotary glow in dark with e chip. We were a little above where you got these. We threw back a very skinny looking 22 incher is all we could do. many sctratched baits I think could have been rockfish

Your fishing an area known as the Middlegrounds......bout halfway between dux/stinson beach/rocky pt and #1 buoy/ entrance buoy for the main channel......glad to see good results!

    Salmon Quest…Stayed on the birds…(Pic)

late start..Got to Rocky point at 11:15AM as fishing partner had early morning chores. 1/2 hour then out to fleet stopping on some birds. Fish between Dux and #3 channel buoy. Stay on the birds like a duck on a June bug..till 3pm…See picture for GPS numbers..

Using UV FBR at 35 feet landed 2 nice chunky salmon
    like 18 to 20 pounds..

Nice day for 1/2 say trip launching out of Alameda for easy run up to Rocky Point…

    Number 1

    Number 2

    Number 2

The 2 waypoints are where we caught salmon

Tracking for trip and the waypoints marked success catches…Find the birds…Bill
