Another great trip with RideNfish, and some bonus time with Captain Compassion.
Gee Paul. You didn't get my good side. Of course I don't really have a "good side". Sorry I didn't get more pictures of the day. I did get a new camera today.

Another great trip with RideNfish, and some bonus time with Captain Compassion and Mariahpup. Lots of hiking, followed by some Dinty Moore stew and hanging out around the campfire. Here are a few additional photos from the trip:

Thanks Marv. But that was the second trip for the rod on the bike. It went on the Lyons Canal trip too.

Yeah, there's something about the altitude and scenery that makes Dinty Moore, Chef Boyardee, or Hormel canned Tamales taste really good......possibly some correlation to potent distilled spirits I'm guessing as well. Did you consume the Dinty on an empty stomach, or had you properly buffered it with a little Tequila or Bourbon first as a base coat? Darned good trip, I suspect I'm going to have to sneak up that way again before 2012 Trout has wrapped up.....bob

Most excellent post Doug. All those beautiful trout. The only thing more beautiful is your bike. It was a pleasure meeting you. Until next time.

It's getting dark so we get back to camp to set up and put an end to the day of fishing. We are pretty hungry by this point and I brought a gourmet dinner for us to heat up at camp. Paul is the chef of this fine cuisine.

Yes, it's Dinty Moore Stew. Gross you say? What you may not understand is this stuff is only edible...Hell... delish at an elevation of 5000 feet or more. If you dare bite down on this stuff in the valley your body will instantly go into convulsions.

It must be consumed only in high elevation to taste good.
Onto the nice fire and a our adult beverages of choice. Paul had Patron Silver and I had Makers Mark next to our fire

The next morning we had the privilege to hook up with Bill (Mariahpup) and Richard (Capt Compassion). It was really nice to share some water with two guys I don't get to see enough. I know this will improve over the coming months.

To keep from boring you to much (I know, already there) Here are a couple of fish from the next morning.

And of course we need a pic of Richard hooking up with a smaller fish. Believe me, he had much larger. I just didn't capture it.

Paul and I parted ways at 12:20 Fri afternoon and headed home. My wife had a gourmet trout dinner planned for tonight and I didn't want to be late for that appointment. And no, it wasn't from any of the fish on this trip since everything was C&R.

Thank you Paul for calling and getting the fever started. And thank you Richard and Bill for being there to give me the honor of your presence. It has been to long and we must no let that amount of time come between visits again.

Cheers all and as always sorry for the over-kill post. But hey, if you don't like it... change the channel.
