Boy, you aint kidding about plenty of water flow! I too would have expected low lukewarm water after a drier than normal winter, and this time of year...I have hardly fished along the 50 corridor, I used to fish 80, and now it's mostly 88,4,108 or 395......probably should broaden my horizons a little

Like I said no bathrooms or running water, first come first serve no camp hosts or anything like that. The weather was perfect, bring a sweater it gets chilly at night. Hope this helps, have fun!

Thanks for the info! Exactly what I needed. We love primitive camping more than host camping, just feels more nature-like. I'll definitely be looking into this location. Thanks again!

Hey Bainter - more info on the campground you guys camped at. What's the name and it's first come first serve? It's free right? Also, do they allow campfires there and is there faucet water there? Bathrooms?

How was the weather day/night? The wife and I are planning a last camping trip before winter so was really liking the place you guys camped at. Would love to fish in that river!

    Thanks!

The Silver Fork is a beautiful piece of water. When the colors turn it is a magic place.

I will report back for sure. The only challenge is prying one of my buddies up out of their caves to go with me. When I drink with friends around the campfire, it feels like camraderie. When I drink alone around the fire, it feels like.....alcoholism lol

If you do end up going back next weekend and hike further in please take pics and report back. The silver fork is a pretty spot but all the fish are relatively small; it'd be nice to see what's further in more secluded spots with deeper holes.

I usually kill up there with small gold spinners. On the way home from the W. Carson I caught 20 in an hour all on the same gold blue fox, the biggest was a spectacular 14" bow.
