West Carson ICR with my daughter

I fished at East Carson on Wed. Didn't do much.....then later that day I drove to ICR, fished about 6 hours, tossing assorted lures off the dam, and along the bank where you can drive down and park. 25 Rainbows, 5 Cutthroat.......bows were all 8-9", Cutts maybe 9-10". Thursday I went by Carson River Resort, and thanks to Todd I was told that the private stocked fish would be arriving within an hour or two at several spots. I was at the bridge when they went in, I caught 7 up to 3-1/2 lbs, then 3 more same size at another hole. First one was badly hooked, and kept. All the rest were taken on a spoon with a single,barbless Siwash hook and released

Decided on a last minute trip up to my place in Gardnerville to fish the West Carson after reading and talking to the Capt.Called my my daughter who just moved back from living and going to school in NY to see if see wanted to take a road trip on such short notice.Left my house in Pacifica at 5 am on sat. to meet with her in Cordelia, arrived in Cordelia at 6 and off we went.Made it up at the 88/89 bridge to see not much there in regards to any fish,did see about 5 carcass that someone filleted and toss back into the stream.Hit all the bridges on the west carson on my way down on 88 to find that there were not any fish to be had with the exception of the Sorensons bridge.There I bumped into fat fish where he was fishing with a friend and his GF.There was about 10 to 15 fish in a pool just downsteream from the bridge but weren't interested in any offerings that Jeffs gf and buddy were were offering.Told my daughter that we were going to pick up my boat and head to ICR to try the motor out that I had been working on that was a problem last time I used it.Got to my place picked up the boat and got a great burger at Jethros off we went.Got ICR with some pretty stiff winds blowing but put the boat in anyway, There was another boat in the water but pulled out as we started fishing..Pulled into the tules next to the campground and hooked three dfg on green gulp ad tossing 1/4gold kastmaster. Decided to troll and ended up with a couple nice holdovers trolling black and orange grubs. Nice trip to spend with my daughter and get her back to fishing, the fall colors are spectacular right now and snow is on its way. I met up with Richard at CVI for a few beers and some good live music , Efren
