As the title states it was another wonderful weekend....
Besides fishing with the folks I spent some time and hung out with Todd at the store. I met a lot of people from all over that had come up to fish the river and camp or stay in the cabins at the CRR. Met up with some of them on the river later which was great fun.
Searched out some new spots and practiced some new things with the fly rod.
It was really great to watch my mom and dad fish. Nice fish my mom got.....good job!

Thinking of trying to get up there this weekend and hoping some of the snow has melted. I spoke with someone in Markleeville yesterday around 9 am and they told me there was a few inches of snow there so it remains to be seen what the weekend will bring.....

Should have looked closer. I've fished with your mom and dad on several occasions. Hi Auralee. I want to go up Friday and fish around the HWY 4 bridge then hit Heenan. Unfortunately Monitor pass is closed as well.

Hey Captain,
We saw your car at the Markleeville Bridge on Friday morning. Lots of cars on the side of the road so we didn't stop thinking we would see you along the river at some point during the day. That didn't happen. We had a great time and hope to get in 1-2 more days of river fishing. I'm now a barbless convert and lovin' it.

Next time if we see your car, we will stop to say Hi.

Great stuff. I hope to squeeze in a trip before the season ends but right now Ebbett's, and Sonora Pass are closed. We will see how they fare in a week or so.

I am hoping to get back up there late in the week or weekend.....hoping the snow has tapered off by then.

Beautiful pictures. You got the folks onto some nice fish. Wanted to get up on the E. Fork this week but Hwy 4 is closed above the monitor pass road. To the positive river flows are up.

Hey Peeps!
On Friday morning I took a drive up to the East Carson and met up with my parents. We fished together a while and my mom and dad both caught nice fish! Got a great picture of moms fish!
I caught a few nice ones on Friday while with the folks.
Friday afternoon I went to pick a friend up on the west Carson and stopped at CS bridge and fished it for about 30 min with no luck. Met my friends and drove back over to the East side where I spent the weekend caming and fishing up and down the river.
My friends and I got into some nice fish but you know how it is when you want the photos! lol If the photo works out great...we just like to fish to be released and sometimes a photo just doesn't work out.
All the fish caught this past weekend were in the 1-5 pound range. Most were around 2-3 lbs.
Spent some time hanging out at Todds and also met some nice people who came up for the fishing. Was a nice weekend. I will include a few fall color photos for you all.
It truly was another wonderful weekend. I was able to check out a few new spots and try to learn better dry fly skills... all my fish as well as the folks and my friends fish were C & R....
