Weatherman said it might rain but my wife was out of town so I'm going fishing!!!! Brother in-law and I decided on Collins. Started with ultralight flashers & worm on one rod, sling blade/muddler minnow fly on another and floating silver rapala on the 3rd. started by the dam - no action till we got on the far side coming out of the cove in shallow water I thought I had a snag, it started coming in with some resistance - thought I was retrieving a stick till he saw the boat => 4.5# Rainbow! We made a few passes in that area and picked up a couple more good sized trout including a 3#. Action stopped so we went towards the river inlet caught a hard fighting 15" bass at the mouth of the river, another nice bass up stream a bit, then circled around up the river till it was time to go home.
Total score 7 Trout and 2 bass - all caught in 2 1/2" floating silver pattern Rapalas about 100'back
Surface temp 60-61 Partly cloudy with some angry looking clouds, that blocked the sun at times.
Lake level was LOW (first time I've seen the islands in that lake)
