Re: Hensley Lake 3.2.13, Pine Flat/Kings River 3.3.13
when i first saw the super duper lure, i'm like how can this catch fish. Same thing goes for the kastmaster until I saw the action on it and was amazed. It swam just like a fish.
Anyways, i'm thinking of painting my gold kastermaster at the tip with some red paint. Or draw some eyes on them. Maybe that is the ticket

I used to make fun of my friend for using his "grandpa's" lure, but I learned quickly that Super Dupers are no joke!

A bad fisherman will leave trash and take fish.

Hensley Lake 3.2.13, Pine Flat/Kings River 3.3.13
We went out to Hensley Lake from 1:30 to 5:30 on Sat (3.2.13). It was a little warm with a slight breeze. Hiked down Vista Point again. Setup with the usual. PB, worms, mice tail, and so on. It was a tad slow. Only caught 2. Released one and kept one. It came on brown worm with orange poweregg. Tried lures for nothing.
Today, went decided to go to Pine Flat. It was overcast and sprinkle a little. We got another late start. Got to Trimmer point and hiked down the steep hill. Water is way way low. Threw out the bait rods for nothing. Tried lure for an hour. Kept changing it from km (copper, gold, blue/silver), pather, a few other spoon for nothing. Until I switch to a gold super duper lure. Cast it out and within a few second, it hit. Reel it in for a nice size trout.
We left after 2.5 hours. Decided to go to Kings River on the way home so I can practice my fly fishing. Saw a bunch of fish but couldn't get them to bite any of the flies. I saw them coming up and eating something white, not sure what it was. I tied a tiny treble on with some white powerbait but didn't get them to bite it.
GF threw out brown worm with orange egg and got a few hit. Finally she hooked and landed a nice size trout.
By then its dark and we left. I took a few pictures so I'll post them soon. Until next time.
