Back from Spaulding....................

I've had a few of those days at Spaulding.You just have to keep at it. If and when those Kings go on the bite it can be awesome fishing. Until then it will remain an equally awesome challenge.

Thanks for the report Fishing_Bear, too bad you didn't have a better bite.
I heard a couple of Kings were caught out of Del Valle, 2-4#'s....I leave in a few to give it a shot. 8)

: : : : : : : Today was the day! woke up at 5:00 am and loaded up. My wife and I got to the lake and started trolling by the boat launch saw some fish on the fishfinder but no takers. Went to the dam and trolled anchovies no takers,again saw plenty, headed to the pumphouse and started throwing kastmasters and minnow plugs and started catching 4 to 7 inch baby kings but not their parents or any of the large browns. I headed back to the dam and was going to jig but the lake turned into the deadsea, no fish at any depth and no bites wanting my wife to have fun with catching something so I headed back to the area where the minnows were. I parked the boat and walked around and as I looked over on the other side I saw a man and his wife walk down the hill shortly after that he started fishing and Bam ;D he hooked into a monster then as the fish took off he went scrambleing along the shore trying to stop it all of a sudden :'( :'( :'( :'( the one that got away. That was that and becouse it was getting late you guessed it time to go. THE FISHING BEAR. IF HEAVENS LIKE SPAULDING PLUS MORE FISH I,LL TAKE IT.
