Ice House weekend

WHat started as a slow weekend of catching only continued, well for a short while anyway. Fished until after dark from shore Sat nite with not a single hit. Guys next to me said they had caught a 15in brown around 1030 the night before on pb but were having the same overall luck we were. Did however catch a nice 14 inch snake slithering the walkway above my fishing spot. Lol Got up at 0600 sunday with plans to launch the tincan and troll but that never materialized as we guys seemed to be the ones roped into fixing breakfast and start the packing. So the boat went for a 140 mile road trip only to be used as a giant rod and gear holder. Saved some gas that way I guess.

Overall despite poor fishing and then a lack of effort as a reaction to defeat, it was a great weekend. First time at that lake for any of us an already scoped out a couple sites to eeserve for later this year

So far its been a good time but fishing has been horrible. Land one small rainbow this morning from shore on corn yellow pb and a crawler on a sliding rig. Havent had time to get boat in water, between four kids (6-15) and my g/f sprianing
her ankle ive been busy. Wind picks up between 1000-2000 making even more challenging. Hoping to get out in AM with boat for some trolling.

Weekend at Ice House. Camps all up, getting the fishing gear ready to slay some trout. Word from workers up here is that last plant was mid May and the bite sucks. Next plant per DFG scheduled for next week sometime. Will post with any action good or bad. Perhaps travel to UVR for a morning troll sometime as well.
