I've never pulled a trailer into the area but I'm thinking the road gets tight and rough right after you reach the lakes. I'm thinking the parking area there may be big enough to turn around in.
Maybe you can get a better idea looking at this map.

The spot I'm talking about is at the second picture in this thread if I remember right.

I'm thinking the sign is right where the road turns north for Upper and sort of south for Twin Lake. In front of it is a parking area. ???
Oh Yah! It shows pretty good in this one. I don't know if that helps any.

Re: Blue Lakes
To clarify CC's post since you haven't been up there in a long time, they paved the road several years ago all the way to Lower Blue, but not between Lower and Upper Blue. It's a much easier drive than the old rutted road that used to be there.
Have fun!

Re: Blue Lakes
OHVs allowed. Some pavement but mostly dirt above the dam at Lower Blue. Not sure about the creek.

Re: Blue Lakes
Thanks! Can you still ride OHV's there? Are there any decent sized spots along the stream? do you know if the road is paved into there or half paved half dirt?
thanks!

Re: Blue Lakes
All the campgrounds at both upper and lower Blue are open. Hope Valley campground is open as well. Off the Blue Lakes there is a meadow area where folks with larger rigs canp.

Blue Lakes
Anyone have any info on camping Blue Lakes? I haven't been there in over 15 years and now have kids of my own that i would like to take there. We have a 30 foot toy hauler that we camp in. I was thinking of leaving Thursday the 5th and camp till the 8th. Any suggestions??? Most likely we will be with 2 other families with RV's...dry camping is not a problem. Just wondering on the road in to Blue Lakes and if it will be packed this weekend due to 4th of July? Any information is greatly appreciated! We usually go to Bear River Reservoir but they are booked up.
thanks!
