Re: Mokelumne River?
In the deeper pools it wouldnt hurt to try casting a #7 or 9 Rapala, either floater or countdown model, and either black over gold or rainbow trout pattern. Just might find a decent Brown that's greedy enough to take a swipe at it, but it's really only at all likely first light or right before dark.

Watch your step, where you place your hands and you'll be okay. Rattle snakes don't always rattle, but most people that are bitten by rattle snakes are drunk guys trying to catch or mess with the snakes.
The Moke is pretty cool, since your in Jackson you should check out Electra rd. theres some ok bank access, and the chance of a nice brow or a bow.

Re: Mokelumne River?
i second the caution on the rattlesnakes this year. theres a ton of them out there so be super careful, most of the ones ive seen are this years crop also, only one or two rattles.

Mokelumne River?
Going to Roaring Camp out of Jackson on the Mokelumne River next week for our 25th anniversary. When we're not looking for gold, we'll be fishing. Has anyone fished around there or have any info that might help?
