I think it's just the angle of the sun that made them look different in the pictures, they were all very identical in person.

I probably should've elaborated a little more. I used small spinners and minnow plugs and also drifted worms with a split shot. The good ole worm/splitshot method caught the most fish. I also tried to drift trout magnets under a float, but it seems that I wasn't very accomplished at that yet cuz it yielded nothing. Overall I was really there to be by myself and just soak in the scenery as opposed to being in the combat zone with a bunch of a**holes trying to fish for salmon. It was a beautiful stream with gin-clear water flowing over smooth and round stones, just a very classic trout stream (I probably should have taken a picture of that but I guess my focus was on the trout). With my ultralight rod and 2lb test line hooking and trying to land those "small" guys was just as nerve-racking as trying to bring a huge salmon to the bank. I still had a lot of missed bites and break offs as these fish were very hard fighters, especially for their size.

Solid! Those are very good days. It's not always the size of the fish. It's the reward of what that stretch of water offers. You did excellent in my book. We just did the same thing (Read Marv's post Upper Kinney, Lower Kinney, and E. Carson )

    Cheers,

Nice looking fish! I like the way there's almost a different lure in each pic. Looks like you were changing it up. Good stuff!

Very nice looking fish indeed. Where were you @? I don't mean your spot just the name of the river or area. Way better than a skunk.

I've been fishing for salmon since the opener and I've caught nothing but skunks so today I decided to bust out the ultralight with 2lb. test line and go for a scenic drive to chase some wild trout. Biggest fish of the day was a 12 incher and the rest were 10-11inches, some of the most perfect specimens of rainbows.
