PnJ. As luck will have it the DFG stocked the area about an hour after I left. So there are stockers up there now.

Still beats working, CC! The fish will be back and the crowds are mostly gone now. See you up there soon!

Wow. Looks like I made the wrong decision. I didnt go last weekend cause I figured that the area would be packed with people and the fish would get shy. Thought I would go up tomorrow and clean up all the fish that where left. Bummer, I guess it catfishing for me this weekend.
Thanks for the heads up CC.

    Nice Day for a Skunk

Did my weekly trip up 88 to see what was there. Seems that the holiday crowds did a good job cleaning out the waters. My first fishing stop was at Crystal Springs. Fished there for 20 minutes with no strikes and I didn't see any fish. Next up to Hope Valley. The water was painfully low and there were no fish. Down to the 89 Bridge where I walked down stream. Fished the rocks for no fish. Went back up to the bridge and met up with Fatfish. We fished the upstream side of the bridge and Jeff managed one stocker. Nothing for me. Earlier in the morning Jeff had got three at the Woodsfords Bridge so we headed back down there. No love. With last night's showers the air was fresh and the landscape green. It was a beautiful day for a skunk. Nice seeing you again Jeff. Hope fishing improved for you after I left.
