I pretty much followed your path,

Yes. I ate breakfast at 0600 when Sharkeys opened and fished the EC until 0930 then headed to Heenan to encounter winds.

I pretty much followed your path, but I was lazy and went several hours later! I stayed over Saturday at the Holiday Lodge, had a couple pops at The French Bar, fed a $20 into the one armed bandits at Sharkeys, then got up Sunday and had breakfast at Sharkeys. What a bargain, "country breakfast" they called it, couple eggs, country potatoes, ham, biscuits and gravy...$5.99! Then headed over to the exact same spot 100 yards below the bridge, and caught 10! I was there from about 10am to 3 pm, I talked to a guy who had been up to Heenan, didn't catch anything and said wind was howling. On my way home, I fished the West fork at the junction 88/89 pool, saw a bunch including 3 18+ inchers, but they weren't biting lures.....sounds like a great way to spend a birthday! Bob
